It feels like eons have transpired in these last few years,
Time stands still yet goes so fast.
A beautiful mixture of joy and love and happy tears,
Of conversation, fears, and a sharing of pasts,
A journey of growth, always learning about each other,
Discovering life with my friend and lover,
I cannot, am unable, and refuse to imagine anyone else by my side
For you are my refuge, the one I shall always sleep beside.
So many rapid changes and twists,
Two small children who now cling to our fists.
A path derived by God and steeped in love,
A blessed gift multiplied from above.
These past years added up feel like more than have been,
How can this time not have been forever?
The days blur and the time soars again,
How blessed I am to face forever together.
